Our roots and purpose

Every life has a story worth telling and hearing

SouthBay Storytellers and Listeners began as a small circle of neighbors who believed that oral narrative is the heartbeat of a healthy community.

From our early beginnings in local libraries to our modern role as a hub for narrative arts, we remain dedicated to the simple, profound act of gathering to share our stories.

Oral Heritage

Preserving the living tradition of storytelling through community gatherings.

Active Listening

Cultivating spaces where every voice is heard and every story is valued.

Community Bonds

Building lasting connections through the shared art of narrative expression.

Our Organizers
